Every year you get a player or two that gets left out of the All Star festivities when they really should be there. And this year is no different. In the NL you have perhaps the biggest snub in Jose Valdivia, followed closely by the likes of Hootie Fisher, Raul Gil, and Jamie Hatcher. The AL had some also with Vic Chantres, another huge snub Orlando Johnson, and a couple of relievers in R.A. Green and the recently acquired Aaron Malone. Though all get to rest for the 3 days you could sense the dissapointment in all of them.
In other All Star news the young slugger Barry Burba added to his growing legend by winning the Home Run Derby. Now the race is on can he overcome the odds (and August) to become the Sandbricks single season leader? Don't forget to take the poll!!!
Keep checking back for trade deadline rumors.

THE GIANTS WIN THE PENNANT, THE GIANTS WIN THE PENNANT!!!!
Well not really. But they did get their first win of the season. After 57 strait losses, a hostile takeover by current ownership and several close calls the Giants get their first win of the season with a hard fought win over the Mountaineers of Vancouver. Giants vs Mountaineers
When asked after the game winning pitcher Brent Brooks had this too say; "I'm just glad we got this one, for my teammates, ownership, the fans of New York but mostly because I am just so glad Cal Ripken won't be calling us anymore thanking us for making his teams skid look like a bump in the road"
In other news the Maize N Blue won their 10th strait yesterday.
Also, stay tuned for the All Star voting duds and snubs.
