New Owner Spotlight: rabenjamin77, New Orleans Bad Decisions

1) Tell us a little about yourself:
" I'm a law student in Washington DC.”

2) What real life sports team(s) you support?
“ I'm a Cubs fan!"

3) What goals do you have for your new franchise this season?
“I think my franchise is pretty close to being something good, just need to fill in my minors.”

rabenjamin77 takes over what was the Santa Fe TopGuns franchise of last season. Having a client that's based in New Orleans, I can confirm that his new team's name is about as apt as any of the rest. Let's hope it doesn't apply to his own club's moves through the season.

New Owner Spotlight: cosborn, Helena Handbaskets 2

1) Tell us a little about yourself:
" Not much to tell. Too old, too fat, too short and not enough time to pursue everything I'd like. Working on launching a new enterprise this fall, and doing my best to reduce the travel time currently required. Still hanging onto my immaturity and playing baseball again. Heading Phoenix to play in week-long tourney next week. Love real futbol. Son plays in college, and that's about it.”

2) What real life sports team(s) you support?
“St. Louis Cardinals (not a good week for that!) and Arsenal FC. Son's soccer team - but they aren't doing well."

3) What goals do you have for your new franchise this season?
“Hope to get this team to playoffs while preparing for a better future. Team is old with lots of big contracts. Trying to balance current competitive options with building for next 3/4 seasons.”

cosborn takes over what was the Fresno Fluffers franchise of last season. I don't know about the rest of you, but I can't call it immature if he wants to get back into baseball. Hell, I would too if I could. Another new owner looking at a long haul. Welcome!

New Owner Spotlight: clocked, Florida Hurricanes

1) Tell us a little about yourself:
“Hello Sand Bricks! I've been with HBD for about a year now. It's great. I always played a game most of you probably have played as well called Baseball Mogul. This game is similar except that it's not against the computer so it makes it much more challenging. My name is Eddie. I'm 27. I'm born and raised and still residing in Cincinnati. I'm a fulltime student at the University of Cincinnati majoring in business mgmt. Worked construction for years but decided on going to school a couple yrs ago.”

2) What real life sports team(s) you support?
“I follow the Reds (obviously), Bengals (unfortunately), Bearcats, Muskies and Buckeyes. Huge baseball fan. It's my favorite but I follwo all sports."

3) What goals do you have for your new franchise this season?
“ I chose this team because it was the last one left (haha) but was happy when i seen 8 1st round picks in 3 yrs and 6 2nd round picks. Looking forward to developing those prospects and trying to make this squad a contender. Should be challenging and fun. Looking forward to it. Good luck everyone!”

clocked takes over what was the Austin Nitsua franchise of last season. While avoiding the easy dig that my Purdue Boilermakers upset his lofty Ohio State Buckeyes this year (go Boilers!), I will say that clocked looked pretty enthusiastic, which is always a plus in HBD. And from the sound of it, he plans on being here a while.

New Owner Spotlight: chadrader, Cleveland Chaos

1) Tell us a little about yourself:
“Former KC Royals PR director, work at 810 WHB radio and internet in Kansas City.”

2) What real life sports team(s) you support?
“KU Jayhawks, KC Royals, SF Giants.”

3) What goals do you have for your new franchise this season?
“Win the title of course!”

chadrader takes over what was the Kansas City Waterfalls franchise of last season. He has a lofty but admirable goal of getting to the World Series this season. We'll see if he can prove last season's experience was an aberration, and not the start of a trend.

New Owner Spotlight: dione, Baltimore Flames

1) Tell us a little about yourself:
“I never stop until I reach a goal.”

2) What real life sports team(s) you support?
“my team I like is the Atlanta Falcons.”

3) What goals do you have for your new franchise?
“I want to build a respected team a team that comes ready to play everyday!.”

dione takes over what was the Baltimore Orioles franchise last season. Looks like he decided to keep them around the same city for the fans. dione's an HBD virgin so be gentle. It'll hurt dione, but it's a good hurt!
